Walsall Residents are being invited to share their views on a proposed revision to the rules and regulations for Walsall’s cemeteries and crematorium.
Residents, funeral directors and stone masons will be able to have their say about how the service is delivered in the borough. This will help Walsall Council manage the service efficiently and maintain the highest possible standards.
Councillor Harris stated: “I hope people will use this opportunity until the end of March to help shape the future of this service.
“During a sensitive time in the lives of resident’s bereavement services assist with sensitive issues but without placing unnecessary restrictions on individual’s choices.
“At some time or other everyone in the borough comes into contact with bereavement and we want to ensure that our places of rest are fitting and respectful of the memories of our loved ones as places of remembrance should be.”
