The Friends of Darlaston South Parks have organised a free dog welfare day on Sunday 29 November at Kings Hill Park Darlaston from 10am – 3pm.
Two animal charities on the day will be providing general pet care advice and a range of free health and welfare checks for dogs through the service offered by a veterinary nurse from the PDSA.
As a prelude to the law on dog micro chipping which takes effect on 6 April 2016 20 lucky owners will be able to take advantage of a free microchipping service being offered by the PDSA and Dogwatch who will be accepting donations on the day.
There will be a chance to find out about general dog welfare issues and access a range of information leaflets for people to take away. A range of merchandise and free magazines will be available for children and there will be tips and hints on pet care to help them keep their pets happy and healthy.
Dogwatch will be offering information on what to do if you lose your dog and there will be guidance on some of the common questions that dog owners have about dog behaviour.
