Walsall gets ready to celebrate St. George’s Day

The Town Centre Management Partnership are delighted to announce the arrangements for the St George’s Day celebrations, which will take place in the town on Saturday 19 April.

The event will take place from 11.00am-3.00pm and activities on the day will include:

• Free puppet theatre, face painting and stilt walker for the children
• Artist workshop for all ages
• Dragon and Knight activities and a special quiz all about England in the children's department of Waterstones bookshop
• A best dressed Market Stall competition, which will be judged by the Mayor of Walsall

Karen Sands, Partnership Chair, said: "We are pleased to announce the latest of a series of events which are being put on in 2008 in order to provide an even better experience for visitors to central Walsall and are proud to be involved in the national celebrations for St George’s Day.”
