Auditorium 1 at the Forest Arts Centre is home to our giant 30ft wide cinema screen complete with full digital surround sound system. The cinema can seat up to 250 people and is fully accessible being situated on the ground floor.

The venue provides an outlet for art cinema, golden oldies, world cinema and good old family entertainment that just isn’t available in the expensive, mainstream multi-plex’s. We show short seasons of films which have been directly requested by the local Walsall people. These include the monthly Silver Screen – movies aimed at the over 50’s and Cine Kids fun holiday movies for the under 12’s.

The Community Cinema hosts the annual Summer Screen Film Festival every August, National Schools Film Week every October, as well as many special events and premieres of locally made films.
