Dog warden service
The Dog Warden Service in Walsall consists of two dog wardens; Sidney Stuart-Thompson and Vicky Pratley and comes under the Public Health Team, Public Protection, Walsall Council.
The dog wardens have a number of main responsibilities, which include:
- Seize and return of stray dogs.
- Enforcement of the Dogs Fouling of Land Act (1996).
- Undertake public engagements and presentations.
- Advise owners on dog training and behaviour.
- Inspect pet shops, boarding and breeding establishments.
- Enforcement of the litter legislation.
