Website Illuminations competition winners

Congratulations to five lucky winners who are on their way for a fun-packed trip to Walsall Illuminations.

Scores of people entered the competition which asked how many lights features can be found at the glittering event with features Dora the Explorer as well as live shows and personal appearances from children’s TV personalities.

The correct answer to the competition is more than 200 with the winners having their passes posted on Friday October 3.

The winners are:

Mrs Potts, Walsall.

Marie Cheer, Willenhall

Emma Doran, Pelsall.

Victoria Baird, Great Wyrley

Jenny Jones, Rushall

But don’t worry if you didn’t win as there will be regular competitions on the Walsall Council website through the event which lasts until November 2.

Tickets went on sale from August 1 at various outlets across Walsall including Central Library, Lichfield Street, and the New Art Gallery, Gallery Square.

They are also available from outlets in surrounding towns at 30 locations including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Telford, Worcester and Stafford.
