Private Landlords are invited to an event on Thursday 10 July 2008 at the Village Hotel, Walsall, which will feature workshops on a range of tenancy issues, such as Energy Performance Certificates and local housing allowance.
The Landlord Forum is open to any landlords operating in Walsall and places are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mayor Councillor Tom Ansell said: “The council is committed to improving life for people living in rented accommodation by helping their landlords to provide a top-quality service. I am sure landlords attending the event will find the workshops and presentations invaluable.”
Speakers include Margaret Lowe – supported housing manager from Caldmore Housing; Mary Latham – founder and chair of the Association of Midlands Landlords; Peter J Silver, FCA – Silver & Co Chartered Accountants, Mick Bullock – revenues and benefits team manager at Walsall Council and a spokes person from Hestia who offer private sector housing insulation schemes on behalf of central government.
