Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan
Draft consultation
At Cabinet meeting on 24 October 2007:
- Cabinet approved this Climate Change Strategy as a final draft for consultation and agreed to the principle of the implementation of a council-wide Action Plan; and
- Cabient agreed to a consultation period of one month.
The consultation feedback closed on 3 December 2007 and Walsall Council would like to thank those organisations and local authorities who feedback comments on the draft strategy and action plan. We are now at the stage of incorporating comments where appropriate.

It is the council's intention to launch the Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan later in the year. Please bear in mind that this document is a working document and the version you are looking at is not the most up-to-date one.

Circulation of the draft Strategy and Action Plan went to Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership members, CEN, Walsall Voluntary Action, Walsall Disability Forum, West Midlands Sustainable Development Officers Network (to include other WM local authorities and Government Office WM), Walsall Housing Group, Accord Housing, WATMOS, Caldmore Housing Group, the Environment Agency, UK Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP) the council’s strategic leadership team and officers of the council.
