Indulge your inner celebrity at The New Art Gallery Walsall

Celebrities, look-a-likes and wannabe stars will be descending on The New Art Gallery Walsall for a free family day on Saturday 24 May 2008, 12pm-4pm.

Star Turns is a celebrity themed event that takes its inspiration from the current exhibition Starstruck: Contemporary Art and the Cult of Celebrity showing at the gallery until 15 June 2008.

Visitors to the gallery can walk down the red carpet and dress up as their favourite ‘celeb’ and enter our look-a-like competition to win a prize. There will be free family activities around the gallery so you can experience the star treatment! A paparazzi style photographer snapping away all afternoon, photos from the day will be uploaded on to The Big Picture website, www.inthebigpicture.co.uk Join in the karaoke sessions, make your very own ‘walk of fame’ star in our free drop in workshop and have fun with your family and friends taking photos in our giant picture frames.

Keep your eyes peeled on the day and take part in a bit of star spotting with celebrity doubles in and around the gallery, you may even get to take your own ‘celebrity photos’!
