Recording studio
Forest Arts Centre has its own 24-track analogue recording suite on the first-floor of our Music department. This is now being expanded to include a Pro-Tools digital system to offer our users the latest technology and flexibility in hardware and sound engineering.
The outstanding advantage of the Forest studio is its size, being of a volume rarely available outside the exclusive high-end, ultra-expensive pro studios.
The studio has an in-house technician fully versed in studio techniques and sound recording.
The studio has already hosted hundreds of recording sessions from a wide variety of users of all ages and skill levels including : solo vocalists, radio plays, rock bands, wind ensembles, jazz and swing bands, choirs, orchestras and many more. Integration with digital systems allows creative manipulation of these sessions into CD masters, complete with artwork on request to provide a truly comprehensive service.
The Recording Studio is now working in conjunction with Forest Digital Arts to provide film soundtracks, sound effects, surround sound, and quality mixes for film and documentaries produced in house. Forest Recording Studio provides a high quality professional service based in the heart of the community.
