Take the world famous Brighouse & Rastrick Brass Band, add an Afternoon of Music and Comedy and a selection of seasonal shows and Walsall Live promises to be a real cracker of an event.

The autumn and winter season at Walsall Town Hall also features an Organ Festival to mark the centenary of the town hall organ.

Walsall Live! organisers have lined up concerts and shows to appeal to all tastes and ages including the popular Black Country Show, lunchtime recitals by borough organist Peter Morris and a performance by the Treorchy Male Choir.

The season starts on Wednesday 1 October 2008 with Birmingham City Organist Thomas Trotter and draws to a close on Wednesday 28 January 2009 with Mozart by Candlelight.

Councillor Louise Harrison, Walsall Council Cabinet member for leisure and culture, said: “Walsall Live! really does have something for everyone.

“There are big band sounds, classical concerts and Christmas carols and the admission prices are so reasonable that the whole family can afford to enjoy what’s on offer

“Walsall residents have got a fabulous feast of entertainment right on their doorsteps.”
