Organising events in parks

A varied programme of annual events and activities ranging from walks, family fun days to fetes and carnivals are held at various parks throughout the year. These are organised in conjunction with Friends Groups and the local community. A full list of events are detailed at our what's on page.

If you are organising an event which you would like to hold in one of the parks you must complete an online application form to hold an event in a park or open space. Please ensure you give sufficient notice otherwise it may not be possible to grant permission.

Suitable events which can be held in parks are parades, fun days, fund-raisers or demonstrations and can involve any of the following services and attractions:

• Fairground / amusement rides Food and refreshment concessions
• Inflatables / bouncy castles Bar / alcohol
• Arena events / shows Barbecue
• Car boot sale Live music / sound broadcast
• Stalls and exhibitions Fireworks / pyrotechnics / bonfire
• Temporary staging Fencing / barriers
• Marquees / tents Temporary toilets
• Portable generators Public address / sound system
• Scaffold structures Temporary lighting
• Temporary water supplies Temporary gas supplies / LPG
