Elections to Walsall Council were held yesterday evening (Thursday 1 May), with votes being counted at Walsall Town Hall.
Walsall residents have elected councillors who will represent their views for the next four years. The Conservative group has retained control of the council.
Over 55,800 votes were cast during the election period in each of the 20 wards across the borough, representing an average turnout of 29.23%. Polling stations were open from 7am to 10pm.
The Conservatives won 12 of the contested seats, Labour 6 seats and the Liberal Democrats 2 seats.
