Brownhills youth group wins award

A youth theatre group in Brownhills is celebrating after winning an award for a special production.
Spotlight Youth Productions, which was formed by Brownhills Community Association, won an award for the best production in the district by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
The award was given for their production of ‘We will Rock You’.
The group was formed 1997 by the Community Association and volunteers for young people aged between 8 and 18 years of age.
The Spotlight group have gone from strength-to-strength with over 90 members and have a waiting list to join. At the age of 18 the young people can go on to join the Adult Spotlight Production Company. The first production funded through the initial lottery grant was entitled ‘6 from 49.
