Services

Apart from our general work with the public, most of our staff are trained specialists in their own fields. Through these links you will find out more about the work they do, the collections we hold and the services we offer.

We hold a wealth of information about the history of Walsall borough including:

  • Over 100 tons of records
  • More than 12,000 photographs from the 1850s to the present day
  • Thousands of reference books
  • Hundreds of oral history tapes
  • Large quantities of maps
  • Family history records on microfiche … and much more!

Most of this is available for the public to view at the centre.

To make this material available, it is collected, listed and indexed by professional staff at the centre. This work is explained in more detail in the links from this page.

Most of our services are free but copying (both photocopy and photographic) where available, will be charged for. Services provided to commercial organisations will normally be charged for.

Please use the links on the right hand side to view further information.
