The 1881 Census Surname Index for England and Wales is available on microfiche at Walsall Local History Centre and many other record offices for consultation in person.
Surname and street indexes for the 1891 and 1901 Censuses are available at Walsall Local History Centre for consultation in person. All censuses are available online at the Centre free of charge via Ancestry.com except the 1911 census. This can be accessed at the Centre as elsewhere via the subscription site.
Please note that we are unable to offer a research service for census records due to constraints on staff time. We are however able to supply photocopies by post from microfiche for specific individual addresses and dates, for 50p plus postage per sheet. You can also print copies in person at the Centre using our self-service digital reader-printers at the same price.
