Welcome to Walsall Local History Centre, the Archives Service and Local Studies Library for Walsall Council.  We are part of Walsall Council.

This year’s Christmas publication from Walsall Local History Centre ‘We’m Gooin on Anuther Walk’ ‘A history of Caldmore and Highgate’ by well-known local historian, Ann French.  The book tells the history of the Caldmore and Highgate area of Walsall covering topics such as the development of Caldmore Housing Association, how local schools dealt with misbehaving children and parents, the many and varied places of worship in the area and the fascinating people who lived there.  The book which costs £9.99 is available from Walsall Local History Centre, Waterstones, Walsall, Walsall Leather Museum and by post from the Local History Centre.
