Improvements to National Cycle Network Route 5 (August/September 2005)

Improvements have been made to the signing of Route 5 between Walsall Town Centre and the Sandwell Boundary. Junctions which have been improved include Lysways Street / Sandwell Street, Highgate Drive / Highgate Road and Bell Lane / Delves Green Road.

Improvements to the signing of Route 5 through Walsall Town Centre will be included in the Civic Quarter development and similar improvements are also planned for the Walsall – Willenhall Route.

Cycle route improvements - Willenhall Memorial Park (completed summer 2005)

Improvements to the Walsall-Willenhall cycle route have been taking place for some time. The improvements have been within Willenhall Memorial Park and have been funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Work has included resurfacing of footways/cycleways, signing and cycle stands.
