You can now check your outstanding housing benefit overpayment account balance and make an account payment using a debit/credit card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Please note this is an automated service which requires a touch tone phone. You will need your 8 digit account number and debit/credit card. The process should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

We accept the following debit/credit cards issued by UK banks:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Visa Debit (Delta)*
  • JCB
  • Solo
  • Switch/Maestro
  • Laser
  • Electron

* Visa Debit cards carry the 'Delta' logo on the back of the card.  They can also be identified by the word 'Debit' printed on the front of the card.
