Red route proposal for A4148 Broadway North

Walsall Council is proposing to implement Red Routes within the Borough as part of the West Midlands Local Transport Plan.
It is proposed that the A4148 Broadway North Red Route is implemented from the Arboretum junction to the A34 Birmingham Road roundabout.
The A4148 Broadway is an important section of the strategic road network in Walsall which is heavily used by a variety of road users.
The aim of the scheme is to control the movement along the route using Red Route enforcement which will enable the traffic to move more freely and decrease the journey times for road users whilst also increasing safety for pedestrians

The consultation period will end on 31 July 2008.
