On the day there will be Information stands from Children’s Information Services, story telling, photograph competition, baby massage, freebies and goody bags.

We will be giving away free Real Nappy packs for you to try at home and see just how easy they are to use.

You will need to apply for your pack in advance of the event.

Real Nappies, the facts!

  • Real nappies are easy to use, come in different sizes, styles and patterns
  • Real nappies are soft and gentle against baby’s skin
  • Real nappies use mostly natural fabrics
  • Real nappies are washable at 60ºC

Environmental impact

Nearly 3 billion disposable nappies are thrown away in the UK every year.

From birth to potty the disposable nappies used by the average baby will fill 40 average bins.

Disposable nappies take hundreds of years to decompose.

Less than half the cost

By the time your baby is potty trained you could have used 4,000 to 6,000 disposable nappies.

This will cost a minimum of £500 and may be as much as £730. By comparison you only need between 25-30 real nappies costing as little as £180 including the washing!

The Savings add up!

Using the same nappies on your second or third child saves you even more than on the first! Washing at home costs less than £1 per week
