Volunteers are being urged to turn out and help with a clean-up at Darlaston’s George Rose Park this weekend.

Organised by Walsall Council’s parks department, the Sunday clean-up will concentrate on picking up litter and making the green space a pleasant environment for families and other visitors.

John Millard, Walsall Council parks development officer, said: “We hope people will pitch in and help us as the more volunteers we have the better. People of all ages are welcome and together we can make a real difference.”

Anyone interested in helping at the clean-up which runs from 10am until 2pm should meet at the Park Lodge at 10am.
