Funding for Walsall Tennis Club

Walsall Tennis Club has secured £5,000, funding from the National Lottery Awards for All programme – thanks to help from Walsall Council.
The council’s external funding team helped the club put in the application for the Awards for All lottery grant which was successful.
The money has been spent on upgrading the club including refurbishing the changing rooms, pavilion roof, a new kitchen and flooring.
To celebrate the funding they are holding a special cream tea for invited guests, on Saturday 16 September at 3.30pm at the club based at the rear of Travelodge, Birmingham Road.
Councillor Barry Sanders said: “I’m delighted the club has secured this funding in partnership with the council working with senior club officers.
“It has made a real difference and helped improve facilities for club members and visitors.
“The cream tea will be a great celebration event.”
