Public transport
Walsall is well served by local public transport routes with access to national coach and rail networks and links to Birmingham International Airport and other national airports.
Travel West Midlands is the main provider of public transport in the Walsall area. Walsall has a new multi million pound bus station which nearly all routes connect through and is only a short walk from the Town Hall and Civic Centre.

There are direct connections available to Birmingham, every six minutes at peak times, and also a timesaver service, which has fewer stops to Birmingham and cuts journey time to around 25 minutes.

Rail connections in Walsall
Walsall is serviced by a local rail network, run by Centro, which connects between Birmingham New Street and Cannock / Hednesford to the North. Trains run every 20 minutes during peak time, though services on Sundays can be very limited.
From Birmingham New Street connections can be made to all Inter City routes, including a link to Birmingham International Airport.

Wrexham and Shropshire operates direct inter-city trains from Tame Bridge Parkway to London Marylebone. There are five trains a day each weekday, with four on Saturdays and three on Sundays. Please visit the Wrexham and Shropshire website.
Metro connections in Walsall
Some of the West Midlands area is now served by a Metro service, with plans to extend the routes to Walsall by 2010.
