Project description
The Strategic Regeneration Framework proposes the improvement of the district centre, remodelling the precinct and the north side of the High Street to provide a mix of residential and retail. The aim is to provide a more open environment, larger shop units and improved car parking. Plans also include a new railway station on the existing heavy rail line south of the district centre, environmental and security improvements to the Redhouse Estate and the redevelopment of garage sites to provide housing for sale, shared ownership and social rent.
