New Art Gallery

The New Art Gallery Walsall runs a dedicated education service with free gallery talks, free support for teachers and free professional development sessions all year round.  We also offer taught sessions to school groups.

The gallery is a modern 20th century purpose built gallery providing a fully accessible, welcoming and friendly environment where everyone can appreciate the collections, exhibitions and facilities and participate in projects, workshops and events specifically organised for schools.

A permanent ground floor gallery is dedicated to interactivity with artworks where you can touch everything; upstairs the collection on permanent display is a treasure trove of famous name with works by Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne, and stunning bronze head sculptures by Epstein; and the floor up above a changing exhibition programme showing the best in new international art.

The gallery works with all ages from nursery to higher education and welcomes teachers to chat with us before their visit to the gallery.
