Sports Club Development
Walsall Council is committed to supporting voluntary sector sports clubs within the borough to improve the provision of opportunities for young people and adults to participate in sport in a safe and effective sporting environment.
Club Development Officer
The Club Development Officer provides professional support and advice on development and course organisation to sports clubs in the voluntary sector with the aim on improving the quality and provision for sports clubs within Walsall. The CDO can assist clubs in the achievement of the Walsall Sports Club Standard and NGB/ Clubmark accreditation schemes and is creating an accredited sports club database. The CDO is also in post to improve school to club links through the community element of the Step into Sports programme and the PESSCL strategy and to support and develop new and exciting local Sport Specific Development Groups.
