Community Hydrotherapy
Walsall's Community Hydrotherapy programme has been developed for clients who experience conditions that have resulted in reduced mobility.
The programme’s aim is to provide opportunities for clients to increase their levels of physical activity to either improve or manage their condition and benefit their health.
Each session follows a group format with each client receiving a regularly updated individual exercise programme tailored to their needs.
The sessions are delivered by a specialist trained instructor and an assistant instructor.
To ensure that the programme will be of benefit, each client is assessed through the Time to Change exercise referral scheme before starting the programme.
Sessions are currently held at Bloxwich Leisure Centre and Walsall Gala Baths (Brine Pool). Each facility has disabled parking, access and changing with pool access for all abilities.
Carers and supporters of clients are welcome to attend the session free of charge within this role.
