‘The End’ by Lemony Snicket
This book is the last in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and even if you braved the previous twelve volumes, you probably can't stand such unpleasantries as a fearsome storm, a suspicious beverage, a herd of wild sheep, an enormous bird cage, and a truly haunting secret about the Baudelaire parents.
‘Tanglewreck’ by Jeanette Winterson
The World is in Trouble! Nobody knows what to do when the Time Tornadoes start. Some days are long, some are short. Time stops then jerks forward. Far from the city, in the strange old house ‘Tanglewreck’, Silver lives with her bony, bad-tempered aunt, Mrs Rockabye, and hears strange stories about the Timekeeper - an alchemist's watch that could steady Time again, if anyone could find it.
‘Tide Knot’ by Helen Dunmore
The spellbinding sequel to ‘Ingo’. Sapphy, Conor and mum have moved to St Pirans, a nearby town. But Sapphy is unhappy and finds herself drawn to the underwater world of Ingo even though it is becoming a more dangerous place.
