The Carnegie and Greenaway Awards are the only children's book awards to be judged solely by librarians. As people who work with children and parents everyday, we think we know what you enjoy reading! Let us know if we are getting it right by telling us what you think of any of the past winners. The full list is available on the Carnegie Greenaway Awards website.
The short list for 2008 has just been announced and judging takes place on Thursday 26th June. You may want to read the books and 'shadow' the judge's opinion. You can request the books at your local library if you haven't already read them.
Why not send us a review of one of the books on the shortlist. You can send a review by email to guestp@walsall.gov.uk. The review could then be posted in the 'Reviews' section of the web site.
