Swim 4 fitness
What is it?
It’s like a gym programme, but for the pool. When you go the gym you might use the treadmill and a rowing machine, for cardiovascular fitness, then resistance machines to strengthen your muscles.
By using the equipment and the programme cards the Swim4Fitness scheme can give you an all round workout, target different muscle groups and is a lot more interesting than swimming from one end of the pool and back again.
How much does it cost?
Nothing, it is completely free!
We have a selection of equipment that customers can borrow, or you can purchase your own from reception if you want to.
When can I do it?
The swim 4fitness campaign starts on Monday 24 September 2007 in all Leisure Centres.
There is a list of designated sessions below when the loan equipment will be available. However, if you purchase your own kickboards, pull buoys and hand paddles, these and the programme cards can be used during any public session.
