Dance
Forest Arts Centre offers both high quality dance facilities and a range of high quality dance activities.
Our facilities include a state-of-the-art Dance Studio that offers 150m2 of sprung floor space with an integral sound system. Available also are three rehearsal studios that are each equipped with a sound system, sprung flooring and air conditioning.
Forest Arts Centre offers also scope for large dance performances in either of our two extensively equipped auditoriums.
Our dance activities offer opportunities to participate in dance for all ages and at all levels of participation. We offer social and recreational dance sessions in Ballroom, sequence and line dancing and opportunities to achieve excellence in Ballet and modern dance styles through external examinations.
Examples of our dance activities include our community dance academy that provides opportunities to Walsall’s young people to experience and participate in a range of dance genres and to achieve recognised dance qualifications.
Forest Arts Centre is the proud host of the annual Walsall Schools Dance festival.
Forest Arts Centre actively works with other agencies to promote and deliver dance in Walsall - these include University of Wolverhampton, Walsall College, Walsall schools, Walsall Youth Service, and Dancexchange (the regional national dance agency).
