Advertising in Job Shop
Job Shop Weekly bulletin
The council's in-house vacancy bulletin Job Shop has been in existence for many years now and is well known in the borough and beyond. It has a printed circulation of 1000 each week and is distributed to a variety of community venues throughout the borough. It is also available to download. Job Shop represents excellent value for money, 66% of the council's applicants come from the publication and an amazing 80% of its vacancies are filled from the publication at a cost of less than £10 per applicant!
Fees (from 2 June 2008)
Listed below are the fees we charge for a standard ad where the text does not exceed 100 words. The fees charged for these services cover our costs, the council does not make a profit from this service.
- an ad in Job Shop Weekly costs £45.00
- an ad on the council's website costs £30.00
Ads exceeding 100 words will attract a further charge of the same amount. These charges will be repeated each time the 100 word text limit is exceeded. Where job listings appear, for the purposes of the Job Shop publication, these will be charged on the total text, however on the council website these will be charged per post as separate data entry is required.
Payment
You will be invoiced for your advertisement following its appearance in the respective media. Payment terms 30 days. Late payment may incur a surcharge of a further £10.00. The council will only advertise posts subject to sufficient space being available in the Job Shop publication and retains the right to refuse any advert which it believes contravenes current employment law or best practice.
