Where can I get help giving up?
About 70% of smokers say they would like to give up. If you are one of those people, information and support can be obtained from
NHS Smoking Helpline - you can speak to a specialist advisor on 0800 169 0 169 (lines are open daily 7am – 11pm).
gosmokefree.co.uk – this is an online resource with advice, information and support to help you stop smoking and stay stopped.
Walsall Stop Smoking service - has a range of services across the borough. It is part of the NHS and provides free support and advice on how to quit with access to treatments such as nicotine replacement therapy (e.g. patches, gum, etc). People can access the service if they live or work in Walsall or are registered with a Walsall GP. The Service runs specialist clinics throughout the borough or individuals can access support at pharmacists / GP practices that have approved advisers.

In addition the service can run support groups for your staff in your business. These generally run over 6-7 weeks and a minimum of 8 people are required to attend.
