Kerbside recycling

The majority of household waste produced by residents in Walsall is sent to landfill for disposal. Increasing concern for the environment means that the council has got to move towards more environmentally friendly waste collection and disposal methods. These essential changes will make Walsall a cleaner and greener place to live and work.
That is why Walsall Council has introduced a new recycling collection service from your home which will make recycling easier for you.
Residents living in a house have received a green box for glass bottles and jars, newspapers, magazines and drinks cans. Every two weeks the box will be emptied and the contents taken away for recycling.
Residents living in flats will have access to a mini-recycling centre which can be used to recycle glass bottles and jars and drinks cans.

Recycling is a key priority in the council’s vision to create a better borough, but we can not make this service work on our own, the council needs your support. It is important that you participate in this scheme – it is the key to making the new service a success.
