Energy efficiency grants
There is an energy-efficiency campaign which could help people across Walsall make their homes warmer, cheaper to heat and more environmentally friendly.
The innovative HEAT West Midlands campaign can provide large grants and heavily discounted prices to help householders insulate their loft and cavity walls.
Homeowners and private tenants to take part in the campaign – which can cover much of the cost of undertaking the insulation work.
And it is estimated that once the work has been done, people could see their heating bills reduced by up to 35 per cent. All you need to do is phone the free HEAT Campaign hotline on 0800 093 40 50.
The average poorly insulated house wastes around £200 per year on fuel. By installing loft insulation, savings can be made of up to 30% on fuel consumption and around 35% on cavity wall insulation.
Few people realise that the average home pumps out more carbon dioxide every year than a car, so to be able to reduce fuel bills whilst at the same time reducing pollution levels locally is a real advantage.
Homeowners and private tenants across Walsall should contact the hotline so that experts can assess the grant levels they are entitled to.
