Professional Development (PD) Days
The five additional PD days for teachers, when all teachers shall be available for work, are to be chosen at the discretion of the school (which will be occasional holidays for pupils). There are no occasional holidays for staff.
Municipal Election Day
If schools decide to close on Municipal Election Day which is likely to be 5 May 2011, (this will be confirmed at a later date) this day must be regarded as a Inset Day for teachers and one of the occasional days for pupils.
