E-forms

It is estimated that over 200 forms are currently used by the council. Many of these do not demonstrate consistency in style, brand or include common features such as titles, contact names or publication dates.

What are we doing at Walsall

Consistency of forms will improve perceptions by our customers, reduce duplication and enable sharing of information. It will also improve our procedures and processes.

We will be implementing electronic forms technology to ensure that:

  • All transactions that use forms will be enabled which will allow the council to meet its E-Government targets within the set timescales.
  • All forms will be available via the web or First Stop Shop.
  • the development of E-Forms will support the Vision 2008 and help meet service plans and best value targets.
  • An e-forms solution will make it easier to access local services by providing access to forms electronically via the Councils website www.walsall.gov.uk, or by printing a copy of the form either from home, business or via the Councils First Stop Shop.
  • Citizens will be able to return forms to the Council via the web, post or by visiting one of the Council facilities.
  • By extending the number of access points for forms, will mean customers have a greater choice and flexibility to interact with the Council, particularly as it will mean they can obtain and complete forms outside normal working hours.
