Scheme Description
The scheme will see the existing play area at Victoria Mews improved to benefit local children and young people.
The Local Committee identified the need to install new play equipment and replace some of the broken fencing and safer surfacing on this site.
Works being carried out October/November 2005
Project completion-December 2005
Work was completed in December 2005 on the new play area at Victoria Mews. Toddlers and young children on the estate are benefiting from the new facility which includes new play equipment, safety surfacing and fencing. To complement the works that were carried out, shrub planting surrounding the play area site has also been cut back and thinned out to increase natural surveillance and security in the area.
The new play area was funded by the Big Lottery Fund with match funding from the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and Walsall MBC.
