E-Government
E-government is delivering a major change programme which will enable us to modernise our services.
The government requires local authorities to ensure that all their services are available electronically (e-enabled) by the end of Dec 2005.
E-Government underpins all the work local authorities are doing to modernise their services which will enhance the quality and improve the effectiveness of local government. It will also support Walsall Council's Vision for 2008.
At Walsall e-Government is not just about the web. We aim to reach all our stakeholders and enhance services through a variety of access channels. We intend to deliver a customer focused organisation delivering services at times and in locations to suit our citizens.
Through the provision of technology and knowledge solutions we will ensure that our citizens can access modern and effective services through front line service delivery, telephone contact centres and self help facilities like our website.
