Panel remit
The Remit of the Panel is to scrutinise the services provided by the NHS.
Work programme 2007/08
The work programme is indicative and subject to change but issues that are scheduled to be looked at this year include:
- Manor Hospital Private Finance Initiative (PFI)
- Future provision of community provision tPCT
- Progress of the Goscote site
- Urgent care development
- Continuing care development
- Discharges from the Manor Hospital
- Review of mental health services in the Black Country
- Health commission performance ratings
Health Panel’s working group
Obesity
The group has been established to consider the methods in place within the borough, to reduce levels of obesity in the working adult population. The group will initially be reviewing leisure provision in the borough. The group is supported by a service manager from leisure (sport and leisure development services) and the director of public health.
