Why does the council collect personal data?
We need to collect and retain personal data to enable us to provide you with efficient and effective services across the borough.
The council may also need to share this information with other organisations and third party service providers who are contracted to provide services on our behalf.
When you provide your information you will be told who is collecting it, what it is to be used for, and who it will shared with.
There are occasions when the council is obliged to share information, for example for the prevention and detection of crime or for the investigation of fraud.
