Walsall Viewfinder consultation planner and finder is a web based database or catalogue, populated with up to date information about past, present and planned consultation information from across the council and the Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership (WBSP). It can be accessed and used by members of the public, council employees and partners to plan and search for relevant consultation exercises, access results, findings and outcomes.

A large amount of consultation of varying forms and scales is conducted by the council and the partnership. Via the council’s Corporate Consultation Group (CCG) and the Partnership Engagement Forum (PEF) we are able to gather information on past, current and planned consultation activity. Until now there has been no way of easily sharing this valuable information or keeping it up to date. Knowing who is carrying out consultation, the subject matter, method, as well as accessing information about the results and outcomes of the consultation will help us plan consultation better, prevent duplication and minimise consultation fatigue. Walsall Viewfinder will help us do this.
Walsall Viewfinder has been developed in partnership with Worcestershire County Council and the Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership.
