Marriage certificates
If you need a copy of a marriage certificate for a marriage that took place in Walsall you can apply to Walsall Register Office in person, by letter or by completing our application for a marriage certificate form and sending it back to us. You will need to supply the following information:
- Names of both parties at the time of the marriage
- Date of Marriage
- Place of Marriage (either Register Office, Church or Approved Premise)
The cost of a copy marriage certificate in a closed register is £7.00. If the entry is in a current register the certificate is £3.50. If you are writing to Walsall Register Office your cheque or postal order should be made payable to ‘Superintendent Registrar’ and a stamped addressed envelope should be included with your application.
