Registration of deaths
Walsall Register Office are responsible for the registration of deaths which take place in Walsall. Please telephone us in advance to make an appointment. The direct telephone number for an appointment is 01922 652268.
If you have difficulty in speaking English, please bring someone to help you register, you can ask a friend or relative to come with you, but please remember that they cannot come on your behalf.
You will need to know the following information:
- Full name of the deceased
- Date of death
- Place of death
- Date and place of birth (a birth certificate or passport would be helpful)
- Last full-time occupation
- Name of any surviving spouse or civil partner
At the time of registration the cost of each death certificate is £3.50.
