Timeshare
Timeshare is a form of holiday ownership. You own the right either directly or through a club to use a week or longer in a apartment or villa on a holiday resort for a great many years.
Timeshare comes in basic forms:
- fixed week - owning rights to a specific week usually in a specific apartment/villa which you can return to each year or swap through the exchange system for something similar.
- Floating system - includes points club. Instead of owning a specific week you can own a week or specified time within a seasonal band of time.
Timeshare offers are usually put to you at a presentation, there will be high pressured selling techniques in place. Do not go unless you are serious about buying.
If you do decide to buy and then change your mind then you have a 13 day cooling off period in which to cancel the agreement and any related credit agreement at no cost and be refunded any money paid.
