Youth Inspectors
Young people during the month of December got involved in the process of inspecting the Youth Service Provision, in preparation of the forthcoming Government Office West Midlands visit in January 2006.
Sixteen young people from across the borough took part in some in-house and external delivered training, in preparation for the inspection process. Young people carried out 23 observations with service staff to examine the standards of young people’s achievement, curriculum and management of projects offered by the service.
Young people met the four visiting officers from Government Office West Midlands, whose job was to inspect the service following the Ofsted; Officers commented how committed young people and staff were towards the positive changes that had been made to the services.
