Teenage pregnancy
Discovering you are pregnant or if you think there is a possibility that you may be pregnant can be a anxious time for a teenager.
Discuss your concerns with your parent(s)/guardian as soon as possible, whilst they are likely to be shocked, in most cases they will want to be able to help and support you. If you really feel unable to speak to your parents, speak to a teacher or your school nurse.
It is important that you let your school know as early as possible about your pregnancy, each school will have their own procedure for dealing with teenage pregnancy. They will discuss your options with you and your parents/guardian to decide the best way to continue your education and provide any additional support throughout the pregnancy and for your return to school after the birth.
