Integrated young people's support service
Integrated Young People's Support Services (IYPSS)
Integrated Young People’s Support Services are about re-shaping services designed to support young people including the Youth Service, Youth Offending Service, and Connexions in partnership with agencies and key partners to provide a fully integrated approach to service delivery for the benefit of young people across Walsall.
IYPSS will:
- focus on action and making a difference
- be committed to improving outcomes for young people, families and the community
- put the active involvement of young people at its centre
- provide flexible services based on needs
- serve everyone aged 9-19 (up to 25 for some), with special attention for those most in need
- build on existing good practice and employ a highly skilled and effective workforce who enjoy working with young people
And it will:
- use integrated ways of planning, designing and working together
- be locally based in neighbourhoods – always nearby
- make good use of its resources – people, places and knowledge
