Taxis and private hire vehicles
Walsall Council is responsible for licensing hackney carriages (taxis), private hire vehicles, drivers and operators in Walsall. The Licensing Enforcement team ensure that drivers, vehicles and operators meet the conditions of their licence and comply with legislation.
It is our job to make sure the taxi and private hire trade in Walsall is operated in a professional manner and that the correct standards of safety and comfort are satisfied by all vehicles, drivers and operators.
